My wife, five year-old daughter and I had an incredible time at the beautiful paradise acres Ranch. We stayed in an affordable RV spot with supplied 30 amp power. The staff was very friendly to my five-year-old daughter. They let her brush and feed the horses after our two hour ride.Can’t recommend them enough! Thank you, Bev and staff for the once in a lifetime experience.

We would recommend Paradise Acres Ranch for trail riding on Vancouver Island. The horses are beautiful and well looked after, very placid and patient horses. We went for a 2 hour trail ride and our guide -Kat was very good at helping is on to the horses etc. this was my first time riding an horse and the experience was out of this world!

I've spent the last 2 months with my RV on the ranch. It has been fantastic. Great people, lovely scenery, peaceful. Bev and her crew are wonderful. Staying here again is a no brainer!

I booked a 1 hour trail ride for myself and my son. He’s autistic, but loves animals and really wanted to go. The whole experience from start to finish was perfect. Because he’s only 6, he was on a lead for the ride, and his guide Romy was an absolute gem! They lead the pack, the whole time she was engaging with my son, asking him questions and building his confidence. Most autistic children don’t hold regular conversation, but somehow yesterday for the whole ride Romy had him locked in and chatting back and forth. The pure joy on his face was priceless. He hasn’t stopped talking about his day, and said it was the best horseback riding day ever. Thank you to everyone at the ranch, and a huge thank you to Romy for giving my son the best day ever! And to Avalanche who had matching eyes with B 🩵

Trail Riding

Ride times
- Fall and winter: One-Hour Ride at 11:30 am and Two-Hour Ride at 1:00 pm, daily.
- Summer (May to September): Two-Hour Rides at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, One-Hour Ride at 12:30 pm, daily. Evening rides at 5:00 pm (three hours) and 6:00 pm (two hours).
- Times change in spring and fall. The booking calendar shows the exact times for each day. For a longer ride, email us to open your date.
Rider rules
- Maximum weight: 250 lbs per rider. We can take up to three riders between 220 and 250 lbs on each ride.
- Ages: riders 10 and older ride on their own. Children 6 to 9 ride on a lead line with the guide on the One-Hour and Two-Hour Rides, with a maximum of two children per ride. Younger children may be able to have a pony lesson while the others ride.
- Helmets: every rider wears a helmet. We have helmets you can use.
- What to wear: closed-toe shoes and socks. Long pants are a good idea, and dress warmly in winter.
- Arrival: please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your ride time to check in on the front porch.
- Cancellation: full refund or credit with 48 hours notice. No-shows pay the full price.
