About
About
The owners Bev and Gerd Voigt are a couple who have always enjoyed nature and animals. They have enjoyed transforming the Ranch from bare land with ‘open fields & old barbed wire fences’ to the wonderful Horse Ranch it is today. Bev has been a horseperson her entire life and has built a couple of other houses and horse-properties. She is also a Realtor. Gerd has adjusted well from his previous career as a Chef and owning his own Restaurants. Both have invested their passions into the Ranch and enjoy sharing it and the horses and with others. “We are quite a ‘relaxed facility’ and love having people enjoy these wonderful animals that roam and graze freely on our Ranch,” Bev says
Nature, Horses, and Harmony
Paradise Acres Ranch was born from the dreams and passions of Bev and Gerd Voigt. Transforming a stretch of bare land with open fields and old barbed wire fences into a thriving horse ranch was no small feat, but it was a labor of love. Bev, a lifelong horse enthusiast and experienced builder of horse properties, brought her expertise and vision to the ranch. Gerd, transitioning from a successful career as a chef and restaurant owner, embraced this new adventure with open arms. Together, they have created a place where horses roam freely and visitors can experience the tranquility and beauty of nature. Paradise Acres Ranch is not just a destination; it's a testament to the Voigts' dedication to sharing their love for animals and the outdoors with others.

What do people say about Paradise Acres Ranch?
We recently stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was such a unique experience to stay on a working ranch! The hospitality was outstanding—the owner personally checked in on us to make sure everything was comfortable and even offered us the option to move to a different spot if we preferred. The facilities were great, with a hot shower and a clean restroom available. The space is very generous, so you never feel crowded. Thank you, Paradise Acres Ranch, for being such great hosts. We really enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back!

Went on the two hour trail ride with a couple of friends. Had a really great time and our guide Maya was awesome. Always checking in with the group and keeping an eye on our surroundings. I felt very well looked after by her and my horse Angel 😇💕

Was a wonderful stay with the healing magic of horses surrounding us. The accommodation was a little unclear going in. It’s actually a bedroom and bathroom that you rent. Other spaces are shared common areas and attached to the owners house. That being said no one else was renting the other room and it felt as though we had our own private space. Surrounded by quiet serenity. The owners are amazing very hard working people. The views are rustic and beautiful at the same time. No regrets. A wonderful memory made:)

My wife gifted me a 1 hour trail ride with her. I had always wanted to ride a horse and this was my first time. What a great experience! This was so fun and perfect introduction into horseback trail riding. We are really looking forward to booking a 2 hour ride next time.Only downside (not even a complaint really) was, we were told we could find photos (taken during the ride) of us on the facebook page. But they never seemed to be uploaded, even after a request for them. Not a big deal and no hard feelings, we just would have liked to see them as there was no real time before or after the ride to take some ourselves. What a great overall experience!

This was a wonderful experience! Well trained horses in a beautiful facility, carefully matched to the rider, on an incredible network of well maintained natural trails. Expert guidance made our day so special, no matter how experienced you are on horseback. Two hours was not nearly long enough and we will be sure to return. Many thanks to gorgeous Storm and Zeta for carrying us so well on such a great ride!

We visited Paradise Acres Ranch for my daughter’s 7th birthday and it was absolutely perfect! We did the 1-hour horseback ride, which was just the right amount of time for her as it was her very first time on a horse. The staff were so kind and caring—they made us feel comfortable right away, showed us where the carrots were, and even let her feed her horse after the ride. The trail was beautiful, the horses were gentle and amazing, and the whole place was so peaceful—it felt like a true escape. My girls had such a wonderful time, and my daughter’s dreams were made true on her birthday. Thank you so much to all of the Paradise Acres staff for such a memorable experience!

This was a ride with my wife and guide from Paradise Acres Ranch. We got a nice long ride through the local countryside and forest. The guide was quite knowledgeable pointing out interesting things along the ride. The salmon were moving up river to spawn so that was an extra treat. I would definitely return to Paradise Acres for another ride.

Claire was a terrific guide. She assessed our experience and tailored the ride to allow us to have a great time. Lovely views, forest walks, trots, canters, river crossing, and seeing the salmon going up river to spawn. My horse Roxy was a terrific ride partner who was willing to go and had personality. We would have loved to stay on the ranch and had more rides, but had limited time on the island.

My stay here was fantastic. Sipping morning coffee while enjoying the view of the striking mountain range towering above the expansive fields was a western dream. The rooms were cozy, clean and cute. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for bbq-ing while watching the sunset. The hosts were warm and helpful and the dozens of horses living on the property were just as friendly. From an adventurous horseback trail ride to bike rides to hidden swimming spots and gorgeous beaches, the activities were fun and memorable. I would definitely recommend Paradise Acres Ranch for your next weekend getaway. Don’t forget your cowboy boots!

I signed my 15 year old and 11 year old up for the 2 hour trail ride at 10AM. The 11 year old had a blast and couldn't get enough. My 15 year old thought it was a bit long. The horses seem well cared for and were very fun to interact with. The ranch seemed like a happy place for them. They had an outdoor bathroom wit a sink that came in handy too. Good experience overall.

Myself, my boyfriend and his mum went for a 2 hour trail ride this Saturday morning and it was nothing short of incredible! Our horses were beautiful, fit and clearly well taken care of. Our guide was awesome. Something that stood out to me was her memory of all of our names with no hesitation! This is huge to me. My horse was Diya, a stunning well-mannered horse who was a pleasure to ride. I have riding experience myself and the way Paradise Acres conducts their trail ride experience is top notch. Thank you so much, I’m positive we’ll be back for another ride!

We had a wonderful experience staying as a family. We thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hour trail ride with a wonderful guide. The ride was so enjoyable for myself and my 10 year old son. We then stayed in the Mountain View Room. The room was perfect for us. With a comfortable cot for our son and a very comfortable king sized bed. We loved the pool table, sauna and foosball table. We had access to everything we needed to have some of our own food (including a fridge). Parking was perfect. The private bathroom with balcony was beautiful and so clean. Instructions were clear for arrival and we felt like we had great privacy. Our only request would be a fan for the bedroom. We will be back! And we will likely bring more of our family to visit!

Great times! Booked over night camping for a group of girls with a trail ride the next day. Tented in a huge field with the sounds of horses not far off. Trail ride was a nice stroll through the property and surrounding area. Guides were amazing and kept group safe and organized. Explore areas you could only access on horseback or by hiking. Terrain was challenging enough to please riders with some horseback experience, but nothing too difficult for beginner riders. Horses were well behaved and had a specific pecking order as expected. Some required coaxing through terrain or surroundings they were not accustomed to (usually horses newer to the ranch). We did not get a chance to see the rooms so I can't comment on those. Passed by the accommodation building and the deck and area looked amazing. Will plan a night here at some point. Thank you Paradise acres for the memories. Three generations of women enjoyed themselves.

This is a beautifully tranquil spot, perfect for a night with my 7 year old. We enjoyed the stunning view of horses, field and mountains in the background. The next day, we did a trail ride with our guide Julie, who was amazing and made our ride really magical. For horse beginners, she helped with every step and set us at ease so we could really enjoy the ride.

We had a great time at Paradise Acres. We took a chance on something new for our anniversary and thought a trail ride would be fun. Paradise Acres also had a mountain view room so we booked that too. What a great time! The room was awesome...in fact, we had the place to ourselves completely the first night. The trail ride was perfect. Tianna did a great job! We were so impressed, we are making this our new anniversary tradition!

I don’t see many reviews on here about the horse riding lesson part, But I just wanted to say that they teach you everything from saddling up the horse brushing the horse and then getting on the horse and getting lesson and it is a very well run place and they have very good instructors. I have julie as mine she is so patient and has such great energy and is always complimenting you or giving constructive feedback, I love going for my weekly lessons !

Today my husband and I enjoyed a 3 hour trail ride across the Englishman river along with 4 other customers. Bev, the ranch owner led the ride followed by Claire an extremely experienced rider. We felt safe at all times with lots of reassurance and instructions when needed. Bev always ensured all horses kept close together during the ride, even during trot and cancer times. So fun ! The river crossing was super fun and easy, the trails were beautiful especially this time of the year. The ranch horses all very well taken care of and it shows in their personalities. If you’ve never been to the ranch, I highly recommend coming, if not for a ride, come to see the beautiful property and horses.. OR the Pumpkin Fest early October. Thanks for an amazing experience! I’ll definitely be back 😇

Wow. What an amazing part of our Canadian adventure! For reference my partner Sarah is an experienced horse woman. I however, am an aspiring (want to be cowboy). Boy, oh boy, was I given the hard and fast insight into the saddle man's daily driver! With 20 years since I was last on a horse, Bev and her team welcomed us, got us in the sand school and got us settled with the basics. Then, we hit the open trail.Water river crossings, rock scrambles, ducking under tree branches... the 3 hour trail ride had it all.Starting mellow, the adventure kicked up a gear within the first couple of hundred meters. Having been told by the patient, experienced (and did I mention patient..) guide at the back to raise in my stirrups when the hoofed madam below me decides it's go time, I was hooked! Sarah could only look back at a glance and hope the grin on my face was that of utter enjoyment, and not that of sheer panic. I can confirm it was a blast, and I only loved it. As indeed did Sarah with her return to horsemanship, this time in a western saddle style.Loved it and would recommend! Thank you.

We were so lucky! Only us 2 on our 10am, 2 hour ride. Everyone we met at the ranch was friendly. And I loved seeing and meeting all the horses. I rode the lovely Storm (horse for a sturdier rider) and my partner rode Roxy (who was never in a rush) me and Julie (our guide) chatted the whole way round the trail. Received a warm, friendly greeting on arrival. The horses were all tacked up waiting for us.We spent a few minutes in the paddock getting to know our horses before setting out on the trail.I'd asked for a chilled horse with a sensible head and I definitely felt that is what they assigned to me. He was beautiful. All the horses on my ride though were very well behaved throughout. The trail guide checked in with us regularly and always asked if we were happy to trot before starting a trot. I wanted a relaxed ride through stunning scenery and that is exactly what I got.

The people and horses (and dogs) on this ranch are wonderful. As a middle aged + woman I have been taking riding lessons here after not being on a horse for many years. My teachers are professional, very knowledgeable, super friendly, and exceptionally patient. I was a little nervous to start lessons after all these years, but al the teachers are excellent and take their time to explain and guide carefully. They never made me feel stupid or were ever impatient with me, which is why I'm continuing with the lessons. I love them. The horses are all lovely and perfectly chosen for various levels of rider. I brought my family, who are not experienced riders, here today for a trail ride in the summer and we all had a wonderful time! I would recommend Paradise Acres Ranch highly to all experienced and not so experienced riders of all ages.

I booked a two hour trail ride to surprise my wife on her birthday. We were greeted warmly by all the staff we encountered. After being paired up with our horses, we were taken to a paddock area where we were given clear instructions on the basic maneuvers required to turn, stop and go. We then had several minutes to ride around getting some practice and pointers. Our guide Abby also told each rider the tendencies and quirks of the horse they were riding. I found this very informative. We then headed out to the trails. Abby was very attentive to everyone in the group, and told us stories and also asked us questions. She was very professional and pleasant. It was an enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend Paradise Acres to anyone.

Stayed for 6 nights...every morning beautiful! My daughter got to pet the horses everyday and went on a 2 hour trail ride which was wonderful. Our guide Angie was great! With my 12 and 15 year old, we booked the Mountain View room and got to use it with it's ensuite bathroom and the main room with epic foosball games and billards. Comfortable living space. Outside kitchen was great BBQ and inside basic supplies and full size fridge was perfect. The sink is a bit small and counter space limited but we made it work. There is a swim spa and hot tub which we used a few times and loved it. Great location to explore the East Coast of the Island. Family friendly and Luna and Soliel the two farm dogs are lovely. Our host Bev and Gerd were friendly and kind and love their ranch. Gave some good suggestions of things to do in the area. We loved swimming in Englishman's Creek!

Lovely spot to spend a night and take a trail ride.
